Well, here's the 2nd London review..

    A MILLION TIMES BETTER!!

It was fucking awesome. It was still only a 2hr show, but incredible.
The band was in much better form, the crowd was much better (not one chant of
"Eddie, Eddie") and an excellent setlist.

Memories...

1) Ed saying that we had a new reputation as good listeners.

2) Playing smile again - "last night we played this for the 1st time, but
one of us messed up really badly in the middle.." Stone held his bass
up, Mike pointed at him, and the rest of the band killed themsleves laughing,
and the crowd roared. "I guess a bootleg was made, but tonight we're going
to try and played it perfectly" - which they did - and Jeff was much better.

3) They were playing stuff that only a few of us knew. It was such an odd
feeling, being so carried away by these songs, when all around you, thousands
of people had no clue what the song was. This happened with Footsteps, I Got
Shit, State of Love & Trust and Yellow Ledbetter.

4) Ed's impression of Matt Lukin. No one knowing who he was.

5) Mike was on another planet. His playing was intense. During Corduroy he
was flying, and on Yellow Ledbetter he didn't want to stop. He just kept
playing the end and soloing like a fucker. I can't describe it.

6) Once again, the whole band had big smiles throughout the concert.
Ed was watching from the side of the stage with a huge grin, clapping along
with the jams.

7) Jack pounded away during Rearview Mirror. I used to be very critical of
him (he used to murder solat), but now he has his shit together...and is
incredible.

8) The crowd lit up for the whole of Alive....and sang every word. The
band was going through the motions for the 1st half, but at the end, Ed
looked up and saw us all, and smiled, and gave it a little bit more. At
the end he applauded us.

9) They opened with release and playing so many incredible songs: Go, Tremor
Christ (with projections on backdrop of trees) and Present Tense.

Anyway. I'm rambling...oh - Mirella got a bugs t-shirt onto the stage..

This was an incredible night. It was certainly the best i've ever seen them,
and it's up there with any of the bootlegs....
